Welcome to Mijo Taekwondo
Mijo Taekwondo is a WT (World Taekwondo), Olympic Style Taekwondo School with locations in Esquimalt and Sooke on beautiful Vancouver Island, BC. We offer supportive, inclusive, and community centred programming that allows for growth, learning, and accomplishment for all students. We partner with local public recreation centres, allowing us to foster and encourage a family dynamic in our programs that is welcoming for all!

Our programs provide an inclusive, supportive, and dynamic way to build fundamental Taekwondo skills and develop important life skills such as perseverance and self control, while experiencing the brilliance of accomplishing goals and building self confidence.
Our Programs

Little Kickers (Ages 3-5)
Our littlest and cutest kickers at Mijo! This program teaches foundational skills in team building, following direction (both verbal and visual), understanding patterns, proprioception, and general coordination! Kids in this program have fun while learning basic Taekwondo skills in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Jr Kids (Ages 5-7)
Our Junior Kids program provides a dynamic and supportive environment for our littlest kickers. Through fun and skill based drills and activities, students will have the opportunity to learn fundamental Taekwondo skills, build coordination, improve proprioception, and build valuable life skills.

Sr Kids (Ages 8-12)
A signature Mijo Taekwondo program, our Senior Kids program provides kids aged 8-12 with a curriculum based delivery of Taekwondo skills that allow them to work towards and advance in belt levels. Our classes foster growth, critical thinking, and the development of important life skills such as Perseverence, Self Control, and Indomitable Spirit.

Adults (Ages 13+)
Our Adults Taekwondo program combines fundamental Taekwondo skills with foundational strength and stability training. Focusing on developing a balance between mind and body, our adult students will challenge themselves with learning belt curriculum, setting short and long term goals, and advancing in belts when ready.
